Wow! Smoking hot erotic scenes between Jennie and Mick throughout the story! I also loved the very hot, erotic scenes between Rachel and Geoffrey. This is a great erotic, romance story. Jennie is a hard-working, mature woman who gets set-up on a date with a friend of a friend who happens to be a movie star. She doesn't recognize him but thinks he is sexy and masterful and she can't wait to have sex with him. Mick is tired of women throwing themselves at him because he is a movie star and is thrilled to find a woman who wants him for just him. They have playful, passionate, and even tender sex as what starts as a one-night stand turns into love. If you want to read well-written erotic romance, then Kate Britton should be a must-read author for you.

One note - a previous reviewer mentioned grammatical errors in the version they read. This version has clearly been edited because there were no grammatical or stylistic errors in this story. :-)

What to say! I do not write many reviews, but in this case I felt I had to make an exception! Many grammatical mistakes which is not the author's fault. Huge chunks in the wrong spot. What really bothered me though was that the leading male character tells the leading female what to do, where to do it, & when do do it and she follows blindly along. Such things as giving up a job, an apartment. It's really unbelievable in today's world. I believe the author "Edwina" is really an "Ed". The sex scenes are graphic which is fine. However, I do think they are written from a man's point of view. In fact I think the whole story is written from a male perspective from possibly a non-industrialized country. The way the sentences were written and the thought processes of both the male and female characters were not what I would expect from anyone living in a country such as urban Australia, Canada or the United States for example. Just my opinion!

More Bang for your Buck with the Signet Classics volume

This Signet edition of Voltaire's finest works is THE Candide to buy. It has 15 other classic Voltaire works FIFTEEN!! Now that's a great deal without all the bells and whistles!

I remember first being introduced to Voltaire (1694-1778) when I was looking ahead in my history book in school, as was my "pasttime" and was one of the ways how I became a trivial nerd who can name dates and events almost like Rain Man. His picture attracted me because of that smart-aleky grin always on his face. This was a bit surprising considering everyone took serious portraits in that time.

Before long after starting to read this good stuff, you'll have a grin on your face too.

The Age of Reason is where Marie-Francois Arouet, better known by the pen name of Voltaire comes from and it is the setting of one of the most famous satires of all time.

Published in 1759, Voltaire takes apart the philisophical quote by Gottfried Lebniz (1646-1716) which states that, the seventeenth/eighteenth century was "The Best of all Possible Worlds." In Candide, the title naiive character is about to find out just how "great" an era the eighteenth century was.

Next to Gulliver's Travels by Jonathan Swift (1667-1745)-whom Voltaire knew and admired, Candide is the most famous satire ever written. It has the best tragical irony and is combined to make it one very memorable and funny reading experience. It seems to me that the eighteenth century was just begging, bowing, scraping, and grovelling to be taken apart by satire and parody, and who would be better to expose the woes of its society than Voltaire, Swift, Alexander Pope (1688-1744), and all the rest of those satirizing cats?!

Probably Mikhail Bulgakov and/or Nikolai Gogol, but those two cats were LATER.

A highly recommended translation!

Candide is one of my most favorite philosophical works because of the humor, honesty, and original perspective that Voltaire brings to this story. This translation is recommended because it also contains many other excellent works from Voltaire, such as Zadig and Micromegas. The translator's notes are very helpful, and in many cases shed light upon Voltaire's intended meaning when the English is not able to convey everything.

About the Author
Dr. Woodward was professor of Latin American history at the University of North Carolina (1963-1970), Tulane University (1970-1999), and Texas Christian University (1999-2003). He also was a Visiting Professor at the National and Catholic Universities of Chile and Argentina, and at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Clear & concise synthesis

Excellently written: Mr. Woodward breezes through the history of Guatemala, highlighting not just events but the currents and influences that shaped these, producing a highly readable document, one that adds substantially to the understanding of the country as it exists today. It is ideal for students, travelers, and businessmen who are both new to the subject and don't have the interests of a scholar, but for those who wish to delve further, he supplies and in-depth bibliography. However, for those who have read other histories of that country, they will either admire or resent his neutrality. In writing his history Mr Woodward is trying to explain how things happened, rather than prove a point. For example, his section on the American overthrow of the government of Arbenz provides an excellent review of the context that led to this American intervention, but refrains from expressing judgments - he lets the reader decide for himself.

I cannot imagine learning more in a university course. Guatemala is a wonderful country that has been invaded, stepped on, lied to, and held captive. Mr. Woodward, Jr. has been able to weave an interesting story from cold, hard facts.

The life and lesson of Marcus Garvey is a excellent book. Mr. Garvey was a genious before his time, not a racist but a man who wanted equal opportunity for his people. In this book Mr. Garvey guides us through life lessons with spiritual insight and cunning details of how to conduct yourself in business and in personal life. He was Malcolm X before Malcolm X, he was Martin Luther King before Martin Luther King. He had a vision,a plan, and a will to succeed by any means necessary. This book is sure to broaden your intelluct and make you a better overall person!!!!

This text makes good use of the entire Garvey Papers collection and lifts what are the central points from that voluminous work with an ease that can only be done by those who are well versed.
Garvey was not the first to deal with African repatriation,business,organization and pride but he was the most successful at building a mass movement. His movement comprised of many talented and well versed individuals some of who laid the foundation on which Garvey would grow some two decades later.
Garvey's genius is found not in his views but in his timely manner of execution. He should be remembered as one of our great messengers brought forth from days of old, reminding us that we have a home,heritage and culture that is comparable to any people in the entire world.
This text illuminates that side of a man who came from a little island named Jamaica and shook the entire world with one phrase, one flag, one organization, one vision, one destiny and one aim!!!

This was the best book I bought all year. I learned a lot from this writings. He was an aggressive visionary for the African Diaspora. Some of it is outdated but majority of this book is able shedding the stigma of slavery. I have never read and re-read a book so fast and so many times.

Beautiful Anthology of Caribbean Poetry

I remembered having to study this in High School/Secondary School. It is a beautiful collection of caribbean poetry that introduces to student an appreciation of west indian culture and literary art through poems. One of my favourite poems in the collection is "Song of the Banana Man" which was recently reintroduced to me via social media. Was very keen on finding out whether it was available online and was pleasantly surprised. Wish it was in Kindle format, but I will take whatever I get. The cover has changed, but I guess that is just to appeal to the modern consumer. I highly recommend this book.

The clinical conditions in Part 3 are not treated as separate entities but are divided into groups whose principles and approaches are linked. Each of these subsections in Part 3, therefore, is introduced by a chapter which sets the scene for the way in which the conditions may be considered. The clinical chapters in Part 3 are nearly all written by clinically practising senior occupational therapists, while Parts 1 and 2 have been written by those whose experience lies in education and management.
